ODESA, NOVEMBER 4th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The Head of the marine economic complex, transport and communications of the Odesa Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ilko has said the Odesa region is ready to explore the tourism potential of the Danube region, not only from the Ukrainian side, but also a similar segment in Romania and Moldova, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Mr Ilko noted 31 October in the framework of the international business forum “Danube synergy”.

“As part of our commission on marine complex, transport, communications and energy we with our clients from Romania and Moldova agreed on the fact that today we are ready to create a common infrastructure for the development of river tourism... With the support of the Regional Council, European rules of registration and operation of small boats are operating in the Odesa region. Today, we are ready to develop commissioning bases of small boats, where ships will be safely kept, where it will be possible to study not only the tourism potential of the Danube from the Ukrainian side, but also a similar segment in Romania and Moldova,” he noted.
