ODESA, NOVEMBER 1st, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Japan Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Kanji Fujiki has stated that Japanese universities and the Odesa National Mechnikov University have good traditions of cooperation, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

K. Fujiki made such a statement today, 1 November, during a visit to the Odesa National Mechnikov University.

Japan Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Kanji Fujiki and members of the Japanese delegation met with the leaders and students of ONU.

“Japanese universities and the Odesa National Mechnikov University have good traditions of cooperation and they will develop in the future. For my part I will make every effort to fulfill our preliminary arrangements for the exchange of teachers and students,” K. Fujiki noted.

Speaking about the specific areas of scientific cooperation, the official expressed confidence that the most interesting will be cooperation in the field of engineering.

“Today we have a dialogue on cooperation in the field of education between the two countries. Our students can become active participants in the development of friendly relations between Ukraine and Japan,” the rector of ONU Igor Koval mentioned.
