ODESA, NOVEMBER 11th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Kristian Vigenin has expressed the hope that “it will be a compromise” in which Ukraine will sign an Association Agreement with the European Union, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Mr Vigenin noted on Saturday, 9 November, at a briefing in Odesa.

“The purpose of my visit to your country is to support Ukraine’s desire to sign an Association Agreement with the European Union. The closer Ukraine to European Union, the more opportunities for tighter cooperation between Ukraine and Bulgaria. So I hope there will be a compromise and Ukraine will sign the Association Agreement,” he noted.

The main outcome of today’s meeting is that within the forthcoming visit of Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov to Bulgaria we will prepare our proposals for the participation of the Odesa region in a number of projects financed by the European Union,” the Governor of Odesa region added.
