ODESA, NOVEMBER 21st, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― USD 106.5 million of direct foreign investment have been received for the economy of Odesa region in January—September 2013, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The Department of Statistics in the Odesa region reported today, 21 November.

According to the Department, in January―September 2013 USD 106.5 million of direct foreign investment was received in the economy of Odesa region.

Foreign direct investment (equity capital) made in the region, on October 1, 2013 amounted to USD 1 billion 693.6 million, and USD 711.4 per capita. From the EU — USD 1 billion 265.3 million (74.7% of total), from CIS countries — USD 33.2 million (2%), from other countries — USD 395.3 (23.3%).

The main investor countries, accounting for 81.2% of total direct investment are: Cyprus — 690.5 million, Netherlands — 204.1 million, United Kingdom — 200.2 million, Singapore — 67.8 million, the United States — 60 million, France —52.4 million, Switzerland — 50.2 million, Germany — 49.6 million.

The debt of Ukrainian enterprises on loans, trade credits and other liabilities (debt instruments) to direct investors amounted to 231.8 million on October 1, 2013.

Total foreign direct investment (equity and debt) amounted to 1 billion 925.3 million on October 1, 2013.
