ODESA, DECEMBER 18th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Consul General of Poland to Odesa Mrs Joanna Strzelczyk has stated that Ukrainians should reach agreement among themselves on Maidan in Kyiv, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Mrs Joanna Strzelczyk noted yesterday, 17 December, during the conversation with journalists.

“The position of Poland has been known ― Poland supported Ukraine on the signing of this treaty, because Poland is always convinced that the choice and place of Ukraine is in the European Union. Poland by its example knows that the cooperation with the European Union, and then the membership is very helpful to achieve a good level of development, and that is very important to change the mentality of the people to more humane, it teaches us democracy. Poland believes that it would be useful for Ukraine.

Ukraine to Poland is a strategic partner, and we watch carefully what occur on the Maidan. But we believe that the Ukrainians should reach agreement among themselves on Maidan and we hope that it will happen by peaceful means...” she noted.
