ODESA, MARCH 26th, 2014, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The festival introduces a new nomination for Best Actor of the National Competition, the cash award for the best Ukrainian feature film project will be doubled, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

OIFF National Competition was established in 2012. Now it is divided into two sections: feature and short. The director of the best Ukrainian feature film is awarded the Golden Duke statuette and cash award of UAH 50 000. Cash award for the best Ukrainian short film is UAH 10 000.

It has happened so, that in 2014 the whole film industry in Ukraine was left without financial support from the state. We understand the importance of contribution to the development of the national cinema and because of that we decided to introduce a new nomination for “Best Actor”. The winner in this category will get a cash award of UAH 10 000.

The winner of the producer’s Pitching ― a competition of full-length feature films of Ukrainian production or co-production with Ukraine — this year will get cash prize of not UAH 25 000, but UAH 50 000 from UDP company, official partner of OIFF.
