ODESA, MAY 27th, 2014, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Natalia Galibarenko has stated that a situation faced by Ukraine on the eastern border, proves the importance of truly defensible borders, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Mrs Galibarenko noted today, 27 May, during a briefing in Odesa.

“The situation faced by Ukraine on the eastern border, once again proves the importance of defensible borders invisible to law-abiding citizens, for tourists, but is completely closed and irresistible for terrorists, extremists. On the basis of a radically new situation that is happening in Ukraine, it is clear that we for our part, appealed to the EUBAM requested to pay even greater attention on the border to the border was sufficiently reliable barrier for ammunition for weapons that can illegally smuggle across the border, for those people crossing the Ukrainian border for criminal purposes. In this regard we are looking forward to a great cooperation of EUBAM,” she said.
