ODESA, DECEMBER 16th, 2014, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The largest volume of grain shipped for export over the last week from 8 to 14 December among Ukrainian ports have become the company “TIS” and Odessa Sea Port, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Administration of the Ports of Ukraine noted today, 16 December.

According to the monitoring carried out by the experts of IA “APK-Inform”, from 8 to 14 December this year of Ukrainian seaports were exported 737.9 thousand tons of grain against 649.4 thousand tons shipped a week earlier. For example, shipments of wheat amounted to 145.5 thousand tons, maize — 488.6 thousand tons, barley — 103.8 thousand tons.

The leader on volume of grain shipping are company “TIS” (286 thousand tons) and the port of Odessa (200.8 thousand tons).

It is also worth noting that the largest volumes of Ukrainian grain in the reporting period have been imported by Egypt (166.2 thousand tons) and Spain (130.3 thousand tons).
