Belgorod-Dniestroskiy port planning to double cargo handling by 2017 due to the investment project

ODESSA, FEBRUARY 11th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — As part of the investment project, which started in Belgorod-Dniestroskiy Commercial Sea Port, it is planned a repair and modernization of equipment, as well as the doubling of cargo handling by 2017, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Belgorod-Dniestroskiy Commercial Sea Port noted today, February 11.

According to the information, promising investment project started in Belgorod-Dniestroskiy sea port. It is planned a repair and modernization of equipment, as well as the doubling of cargo handling by 2017. All property is owned by the state.

The investor is a group of companies “Orexim”, which has considerable experience in the implementation of projects on organization and development of stevedoring business in Ukraine. During 2013-2014 port operators of the group handled 3.5 million tons of cargo.

Local companies of Belgorod-Dniestrovskiy — LLC “KD Trans” and PE “River-trans” (group of companies “Orexim”) will implement the goal. Companies have passed the necessary procedure established by law of Ukraine “About lease of state and municipal property”.

In turn, guide the SE “Belgorod-Dniestrovskiy Commercial Sea Port” in the course of the project pays special attention to the preservation of social guarantees to employees of the enterprise. So, from February 1, 2015 the company increased wages by 10%. Employees retain all bonuses and allowances, professional experience, seniority and the whole package of social guarantees provided by the collective agreement.

Investors employ 450 workers, labor rights which continue to control the primary trade union organization Belgorod-Dniestrovskiy sea port (included in the the Marine Transport Workers' Trade Union of Ukraine).

«We are confident that the investment project will positively affect the economy of the city and the region,” the Deputy Director of SE “Belgorod-Dniestrovskiy Commercial Sea Port” Andriy Myagchenko noted.
