The unions want a review of approval procedures of financial plans of state enterprises of maritime industry

ODESSA, FEBRUARY 4th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Trade union organizations of sea ports of Ukraine plan to seek a review of procedures for approval of the financial plans of state enterprises of maritime industry, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Administration of the Ports of Ukraine noted today, February 4.

According to the information, February 2, the regular meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Chairmen of trade union organizations of sea transport of Ukraine was held. The meeting was attended by leaders of Trade Union Organizations of sea ports and Administration of the Ports of Ukraine.

The prospects of implementation of the Law of Ukraine ¹76-VIII, which provides 20% reduction in the number of administrative staff in the state sector of the economy, were discussed. Also issues on the humanitarian, technical and financial assistance, which each trade union organization provide to the population in today’s not easy time were touched.

Chairman of the Coordination Council Volodymyr Zaykov reminded that at this point in the trade union teams work continues to discuss the final pro forma unified collective agreement for the development of a common social policy sector, which is expected to approve by the end of April this year.

During the meeting, the union leaders decided to appeal to the leadership of the relevant ministry to revise the procedure of approval of the financial plans of state enterprises maritime industry.

“The existing algorithm of approval of financial plans for state enterprises is imperfect and overly bureaucratized. We believe that financial plan should be approved at the level of the Minister of Infrastructure without undergoing time-consuming, approval by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine,” V. Zaykov said.

In conclusion the management and union leaders decided to resume the practice of organizing outreach meetings with company management with trade union branches.
