ODESSA, FEBRUARY 25th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The partnership agreement between Odessa and Batumi has been signed, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The decision was made today, February 25, during the meeting in the Odessa City Council.

“Today the city council will decide with whom to establish partnerships who will be sister city of Odessa. I hope that we will explore all the good of Batumi, and will implement in Odessa,” the Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov noted.

Considering their common interest in deepening and development of friendly relations between the peoples of Ukraine and Georgia, as well as the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between Ukraine and Georgia, Odessa City Council decided to conclude an agreement on the establishment of partnerships between Odessa (Ukraine) and Batumi (Georgia).

Odessa Mayor was instructed to sign partnership agreement between the cities of Odessa and Batumi.
