04:05 / 17.03.2015

ODESSA, MARCH 18th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The head of state enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” Andriy Amelin has said that the events in the Crimea and Donbass led to the temporary suspension of 5 ports and the destruction of the railway infrastructure in Mariupol port, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

A. Amelin noted today, March 18, during a press conference: “The results of the SE “USPA” in 2014 and plans for 2015”.

“2014 was probably the most difficult year for the industry and for the country as a whole. We have temporarily closed five ports in the Crimea, we have some problems on infrastructure in the East of Ukraine. This applies, in particular, the port of Mariupol, where damaged rail infrastructure, in connection with which we promptly changed the scope of delivery logistics cargo — port Berdiansk, through the ports of Mykolaiv waters, Yuzhny and Odessa. I hope, we will fix it in the near future.”
