USPA is dredging in Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi ports

ODESSA, MARCH 18th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The head of State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” Andriy Amelin has said that USPA is dredging in Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi ports, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Andriy Amelin noted today, March 18, during a press conference: “The results of the SE “USPA” in 2014 and plans for 2015”.

“We will continue to work on the dredging of the channel of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi port. The firth part of the channel is very long, so to achieve a rainfall of 3.5 meters, we need to remove 800thousand cubic meters of soil in firth. And about 200 thousand cubic meters of soil in the offshore portion of the channel to bring a depth of 6.5 meters.

At the moment, our dredger working in Izmail port where there was not any dredging since 2007. Port began to work very hard for our part we will sustain the momentum and build a base for receiving large ships.

In 2015 it is planned about UAH 1 billion for dredging in all water areas of Seaports Authority,” he noted.
