ODESSA, MARCH 26th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Frigate La Fayette of the French Navy has arrived to Odessa with a planned visit, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Odesa Commercial Sea Port noted today, 26 March.

According to the information, today, March 26, 2015, a protocol meeting was held in Odessa City Council. The Mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic in Ukraine Mr Alain Remy and the commander of the French frigate “La Fayette” the Captain of the 2nd Rank Mr Makar Uk. The meeting was held on the occasion of French frigate’s entering to Odessa.

According to the press center of the Command of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, it is planned to share experiences between the personnel of the Navy frigate of the French Republic “La Fayette” and Ukrainian Navy frigate “Hetman Sahaidachniy” on the organization of professional training on Ukrainian and French Republic Navy ships.

Also, the program of the visit includes holding a friendly mini-football match between the teams of the crew of the ship “La Fayette” and the Navy Faculty of Odessa National Maritime Academy.

The French ship will stay in Odessa till the 30th of March 2015.
