ODESSA, DECEMBER 3rd, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The administration of the Ilyichivsk seaport has developed and successfully carries out a number of activities, which prepared port for work in winter conditions, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the port noted today, December 3.

According to the information, multi-purpose tug Titan was renovated in preparation for the ice campaign. Conducted dock repairs of individual body parts and engine repairs are made. For the convenience of boarding and removing the pilot, tug on the tank is installed transition bridge. At the same time, the tug is equipped with additional new radar. By the conclusion of the Shipping Register of Ukraine seagoing tug Titan is allowed to work in winter conditions on the ice pick in the waters of Ilyichivsk seaport.

At the moment, a repair of floating crane Bogatyr and m/v NMS-23 is completed and allowed to go in loose unstable ice.

“In the case of ice campaign announced in Ilyichivsk seaport, a service fleet is 100% ready to work in adverse weather conditions,” said the chief of fleet administration of Ilyichivsk Sea Port Oleg Pochivalov.

All objects of the enterprise have passed the annual test of hydraulic heating systems with a total length of 38 km.

Also, the company formed two-repair business executives, whose main task is cleaning and removal of snow mass from the territory of the port, as well as sanding the carriageway and footpaths. Force repair and economic area of Ilyichivsk Sea Port administration worked to restore the excavator MT-82 with the installation of Borex. Currently it is planned to purchase an excavator JCB with mounted equipment.
