Bulk carrier with South African coal is unloaded at Yuzhny port

ODESSA, DECEMBER 7th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Bulk carrier Bulk China has arrived to the Yuzhny port with a cargo of anthracite coal from the Republic of South Africa on December 5, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the port noted today, December 7.

According to the press service, at the time of arrival of the vessel at the port on board was 168 thousand tons of coal. The vessel has a draft of about 17 meters, so it was moored at one of the most deep-water berths of the Yuzhny port waters; the depth at the quay wall is 18.5 meters — a record in the Black Sea.

“Since the beginning of the processing, vessel has unloaded 54 thousand tons of coal. The average discharge rate was 35 thousand tons per day. According to the scheme of the processing vessel, the bulker will be hauled to the berth of “Transinvestservis” for final unloading 8 December. As a result, a combined scheme of unloading coal, by the end of December the coal will be delivered to the power plants of PJSC “Centrenergo” by the railway. An international independent company SGS made a quality control of anthracite,” said the director of SE “Yuzhny Sea Port” Alexander Lagosha.
