MYKOLAIV, FEBRUARY 5th, 2016, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Head of the Administration of Mykolaiv seaport Alexander Popov said that the territory of Mykolaiv seaport continues to implement a number of large investment projects, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
The press service of the Mykolaiv Commercial Sea Port reported today, February 5.
According to the press service, during the meeting with journalists A. Popov noted that a group of companies BUNGE completed the project of building production and transshipment complex in the rear of the berths 13 and 14. After the completion, the complex will provide a real cargo turnover in the amount of 2.176 million tons per year. The investment amounts to USD 170 million.
Hong Kong company Noble Group is implementing the project of development of a transshipment terminal at berths ¹¹1, 2 by conversion of the complex for transshipment of general and bulk cargo on the complex for transshipment of grain and oil crops and their products. The annual turnover of the complex is planned in the amount of 2.5 million tons. The volume of investment in the project amounts to USD 75 million.
In addition, a project for the construction of universal cargo complex on the projected berth ¹8 planned capacity of 1 million tons of cargo per year. The complex, which is scheduled to create a public-private partnership, provides for the construction of the transformer substation, sewage treatment facilities, storage space. In 2016 planned development of the project land, removal of permanent use of land for the construction of the berth, obtaining title documents for the land plot, as well as for construction and installation work on the project.
Also this year, the port plans to conduct a feasibility study for the construction of the berth ¹14A and implement measures for allotment of land for the construction of a berth in the framework of the project on creation of a transshipment complex with capacity of 0.7-1 million tons per year.
In general, the implementation of these projects will create about 600 work places.
