Vice-mayors of Odessa met with representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy

ODESSA, MAY 25th, 2016, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Deputies of the Odessa mayor Pavel Vugelman and Andriy Kotlyar have met with representatives of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Ukraine and representatives of the Vietnamese Diaspora in Odessa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Information Department of Odessa City Council noted today, May 25.

According to the information, May 24 Deputy Mayor Pavel Vugelman and Andriy Kotlyar met with representatives of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Ukraine and representatives of the Vietnamese Diaspora, living in Odessa.

During the meeting the Embassy representatives expressed concern over the incident occurred on May 23 in the house ¹39 / 1 on the Grushevskogo Street. Representatives of the Vietnamese Diaspora noted that an application to the law enforcement agencies has been already written.

In turn, representatives of the Odessa mayor’s office promised within its power to render comprehensive assistance to law enforcement agencies in their investigations.

As IA “Context-Prichernomorie” reported earlier, the General Prosecutor’s Office stated that the actions of employees of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine and the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine on the Grushevskogo Street were “special operation against organized crime group originating from South-East Asia, which operated on the territory of Odessa”.

Representatives of the Vietnamese Diaspora regard these actions differently and in protest blocked the Grushevskogo Street May 23.
