ODESSA, JUNE 08 2016, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE -- Representatives of the U.S. Coast Guard visited the ports of Illichevsk and Odessa, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie” reports.

It was reported to the agency today, June 9, at the press center of administration of Illichevsk seaport.

According to the press center, in Illichevsk seaport held a meeting with representatives of the US Coast Guard. The meeting was also attended by Assistant for Economic Affairs of the US Embassy in Ukraine Valentina Sizaya.

The purpose of the study visit was exchange of experience of administration leaders Illichevsk Seaport and American party regarding to the creation of effective modern system for the protection of the courts and the organization of safety measures at seaports.

During the visit were addressed issues of efficiency of marine port security and port operators, improvement and development strategy of the modern system of security of ships and port facilities. Issues of training, technique training and exercises have been considered.

Guests paid special attention to the interaction of a Maritime safety administration of Illichevsk sea port with the port operators and regulatory agencies.

Members of the delegation visited the checkpoints, where on-site discussed throughput and interoperability of port security units and port operators with law enforcement and regulatory authorities.

After the meeting the American party expressed its warm thanks to the representatives of Illichevsk seaport for a tour and invited Ukrainian specialists to make a return visit to the United States.

Later in the day, the delegates visited the port of Odessa with the same visit.
