Odessa, 09 AUGUST 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie -- Since the beginning of this year, the International airport «Odessa» served 540.6 thousand passengers, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, on August 9, by the press service of the Odessa airport.

According to the press service, in July 2016 the Odessa airport passenger traffic amounted to 117,5 thousand. This is by 4.5% more compared to the same period last year.

For 7 months of this year, 540.6 thousand passengers were served. Growth in annual rate amounted to 1.3%. At the same time international flights benefited 415.8 thousand passengers, domestic — 120.8 thousand people.

For 7 months were handled 6 thousand 100 flights.

International airport «Odessa» in passenger traffic ranks second in Ukraine (after the «Boryspol» International airport) at the end of 2015 and the 1st half of 2016.

In the summer season in 2016 from the International airport «Odessa» opened new directions in Tallinn (2 weekly flights), Prague (3 weekly flights), Munich (2 flights per week).

Increased the number of flights on existing destinations: Vienna — up to 7 flights per week, to Istanbul — up to 28 flights per week, to Minsk — up to 14 flights per week. Two new carriers «Motor Sich» and Bravo Airways have opened flights on the line «Odessa – Kiev».
