Odessa, 31 AUGUST 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — In the sea port «Yuzhny» to complete the work on operational dredging, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, August 31, in the press service of the administration of the sea port «Yuzhny».

According to the press service, according to the contract with «LIGOS UA», August 8, 2016 operating dredging works were completed in the sea port «Yuzhny». Completed dredging operations have greatly improved the navigation conditions, improved conditions for safe navigation and maneuvering of ships and goods on the domestic channel and berths. Scope of maintenance dredging amounted to 461.1 thousand cubic meters.

In accordance with the order of the Chief Administration of the seaport Maxim Shirokov from 08.31.2016 on September 1 at the port announced following drafts (in areas where dredging occurred) in the waters of the operating number of berths 7, 8, 9 — from 13.9 to 14, 9 m; operating in the waters of berths number 16 and 17 — from 13.8 to 13.9 m; on the inner approach channel — 14.7 m (previous rate — 14 m); the actual depth of the domestic approach channel up to 15.4 m (previous rate — 14.6 m).

The press service also noted that the recent dredging with the operational purpose carried out in the waters of «Yuzhny» port in 2008-2009.
