Odessa, 7 SEPTEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — During the summer of 2016 the Odessa railway services benefited more than 2.2 million passengers, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

About it Agency was informed today, 7 September, in the press center of the regional branch «Odesa railway» with reference to the passenger transport service data of Odessa Railway.

So, according to the service, in the period from 1 June to 31 August the total number of passengers who used the services of the branch to far and local traffic, is 2 million 211.9 thousand.

Among the most popular destinations this summer was the south of the country from Kiev, Lviv, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk. With this great demand, there were as such trains as No. 106/105 Odessa – Kiev, №148/147 Odessa – Kiev, №210/209 Nikolaev – Kiev, №108/107 Odessa – Uzhgorod, № 228/227 Odessa – Lviv and others.

In the summer, passenger trains operating schedule provided 14 additional trains departing from stations of Odessa Railway. Of these, 6 trains (149 wagons) have been formed by the Odessa railway.
