NIKOLAEV, 05 OCTOBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — In January-September the total turnover of public and private stevedoring companies working on the territory of the Nikolaev sea port amounted to 16 million 13.34 thousand tons, or 99.1% of the same period last year, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, October 05, in the press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

In a press-service reported that according to operational data, the total cargo turnover at the port for 9 months amounted to 16 million 13,34 thousand tons, which is 99.1% compared to January-September 2015, when the turnover amounted to 16 million 164.5 thousand tons.

Liquid cargoes during this period the port handled 1 million 686,05 thousand tons (137,5% to the indicator of January-September 2015); bulk dry cargo — 11 million 710,58 thousand tons (96.5%); unitized cargo — 2 million 616,71 thousand tons (93,6%).

REFERENCE: Sea port of Nikolaev is situated on the left Bank of the bend of Yuzhny Bug river, 35 km upstream from the confluence with the Dnieper estuary. The port is connected with the sea, Bugsko-Dneprovsky Limansky channel (BDLC) passing through the Dnepro-Bugsky estuary and the Yuzhny Bug river. It starts at Berezan island and extends for 44 miles to Nikolaev port. The channel consists of 13 tribes, 6 of them are in the Dnieper estuary, and the rest on the river Yuzhny Bug. Channel width — 100 m, depth — 11,2 m. Navigation in the port lasts all year round.
