Odessa, 06 OCTOBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — In January-September the total turnover of stevedoring companies operating on the territory of Belgorod-Dnestrovskiy sea port amounted to 381,33 thousand tons, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, October 06, in a press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

In a press-service reported that according to operational data, the total cargo turnover at the port for January-September amounted to 381,33 thousand tons, accounting for 67.9 % from the same period of 2015.

The main cargo for the period were timber, it was handled 343.18 thousand tons.

Processed 14,76 thousand tons of ferrous metals and 17,39 thousand tons of other unitized cargoes, 3.05 thousand tons of grain, of 2.95 thousand tons of building materials.

REFERENCE: Belgorod-Dniester port was founded in 1971. Located in the South-Western part of Odessa region, 20 km from the Black sea on the right shore of the Dniester estuary, having a length of 42 km and width of 4.5 to 12 km and connected by a strait with the Black sea. The approach of the ships in the port is carried out on a channel with a length of 2.22 km and Liman channel length of 14.5 km. Depth of the approach channel is 4.5 m.
