Odessa, 06 OCTOBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — In January-September the total turnover of the companies operating on the territory of Ust-Danube seaport totaled 19.4 thousand tons, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, October 06, in a press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

In a press-service reported that according to operational data, the total cargo turnover at the port for January-September amounted to 19.4 thousand tons, which is 92.1% of more than in the same period of 2015, when the turnover amounted to 10.1 thousand tons.

Liquid cargoes during the period processed 8.7 thousand tons (790,9% against the indicator of January-September 2015); bulk dry cargo (grain) — 10.7 thousand tons (118,9%).

REFERENCE: Ust-Danube port is located in the southern part of Zhebriyanski bay of the Black Sea. The port was built in the late 1970s, primarily to serve the LASH transport system. Today, the port specializes in transshipment of goods from ships on the river for further transport on the Danube, and vice versa.

The total area of the port area — 15 hectares, water area — 60 hectares. Marine approach canal to the port of Ust-Danube has a length of 7 km and leads to three anchorage for large vessels where the working depth is now lost.
