Odessa, 23 NOVEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — The Chairman of the Odessa regional Council Anatoly Urbanskiy held a meeting with Consul General of China to Odessa Ms. Zhao Xiangrong, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

According to the press service, during the meeting the sides discussed the directions of expansion of bilateral cooperation and deepen economic and trade relations between the provinces of China and the Odessa region.

Your experience and technology to us very interesting and promising», — said A. Urbanskiy and urged the Chinese partners to invest in the construction of roads, Maritime complex, agriculture, tourism and other industries.

The head of the regional Council has focused on the development of tourist-recreational potential of the Odessa region: «Tourism has received increasing attention, as this activity is strategic for the Odessa. And investment policy plays a crucial role in ensuring sustainable development of the economy of the region and creates a mechanism to attract both domestic and foreign investment. In addition, tourism and recreation are one of the most powerful sources of jobs creation».

In turn, Ms. Xiangrong expressed readiness for further fruitful cooperation. Among the priorities the regional Council and the Consulate General of China sees the promotion of humanitarian relations between the Ukrainian and Chinese peoples, assistance in establishing contacts between entrepreneurs and the creation of favorable conditions for mutually beneficial partnership.
