Odessa, 03 DECEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — In Odessa ended the initial planning conference of the Ukrainian-American exercises «Sea Breeze-2017», the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, December 03, in the press center of the Command of the Naval Forces of Ukraine.

According to the press center, in Odessa ended the initial planning conference of the Ukrainian-American exercises «Sea Breeze-2017», the theme of which is a multinational security operation in the crisis region.

In addition to Ukrainian and American sailors, the event was also attended by representatives of Georgia, Poland, Azerbaijan, the Netherlands, Romania, Canada, Great Britain, Bulgaria, Moldova and Turkey.

«The conference was a success, we have fulfilled all the tasks», — said the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces of Ukraine for Euro-Atlantic integration Capt 1 rank Andrei Ryzhenko, under whose guidance the event was held.

The representative of the Ukrainian Navy command noted a close cooperation and participants' activity at the conference.

According to the results of the three-day conference generated a plan for future exercises, pre-defined components and control system maneuvers. In addition, they discussed aspects of logistics and interaction with media, designated areas for combat training and coordination of forces.

According to captain 1st rank Andrei Ryzhenko, upon return to their country, the Navy will coordinate with the national leadership planned at the initial conference position that will allow future conferences to draw up a detailed plan of «Sea Breeze-2017».

Ukrainian and American sides thanked all those present for their fruitful cooperation and assured that it will continue in the period between conferences.

As reported, the exercises «Sea Breeze-2017» will combine theoretical and practical training process of planning and carrying out the operation under NATO standards, leadership courses, to provide medical care in field conditions and the like.
