Odessa, 05 DECEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — In January-November the total turnover of stevedoring companies operating on the territory of Belgorod-Dnestrovskiy sea port amounted to 422.45 thousand tons, a decrease of 35.2% compared to the figure for the first 11 months of last year, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, December 05, in the press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

The press service reported that, according to operative data, the total turnover at the port in January-November amounted to 422.45 thousand tons, which is 64.8% from the same period of 2015.

The main cargoes for this period were timber, it was handled 379.17 thousand tons.

Also, it processed 14.76 thousand tons of ferrous metal and 22.54 thousand tons of other unitized cargo, 5.98 thousand tons of grain cargoes.

REFERENCE: Belgorod-Dnestrovsky port was founded in 1971. Located in the South-Western part of Odessa region, 20 km from the Black sea on the right shore of the Dniester estuary, having a length of 42 km and width of 4.5 to 12 km and connected by a strait with the Black sea. The approach of the ships in the port is carried out on a channel with a length of 2.22 km and Liman channel length of 14.5 km. Depth of the approach channel is 4.5 m.
