Odessa, 05 DECEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — In January-November the total turnover of the companies operating on the territory of Ust-Danube seaport totaled 24.8 thousand tons, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, December 05, in the press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

In a press-service reported that according to operational data, the total cargo turnover at the port in January-November amounted to 24.8 thousand tons, which is by 25.3% more than in the same period of 2015.

Liquid cargoes during the period handled 11.2 thousand tons (320% against the indicator of January-November 2015); bulk dry cargo (grain) — 13.6 thousand tons (101.5%).

REFERENCE: Ust-Danube port is located in the southern part of Zhebriyansky Bay of the Black sea. The port was created in the late 1970's, primarily to service the lash transportation system. Today, the port specializes in the transshipment from sea vessels on river ships for further transport on the Danube and vice versa.

The total area of the port area — 15 hectares, water area — 60 hectares. Marine approach canal to the port of Ust-Danube has a length of 7 km and leads to three anchor anchorages for large vessels where the working depth is now lost.
