Odessa, 19 JANUARY 2017, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — Today, 19 January, during the visit of a senior inspector of the Marine Safety Transport Canada in USPA held a meeting on maritime security in ports, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, January 19, in the press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

According to the press service, during the visit, senior inspector at marine safety transport Canada Mr. Tony Bakeravi in USPA, a meeting was held on several issues of ensuring Maritime security in ports. The meeting was chaired by the chief of Maritime security USPA Nicholay Severin.

The main purpose of visit of foreign expert — Ukraine's preparation to the planned audit by the International Maritime organization.

During the meeting, they exchanged experience with Ukrainian specialists on the issues of rapid response in cases of environmental pollution, provision of port receiving facilities, discussed risk analysis and safety assessment in ports.

During the meeting also raised questions on the quality management system and radio communications, operation of points of regulation of movement of vessels and pilot services, coast guard and the coordination of search and rescue at sea.
