Two tenders for dredging in the port «Yuzhny» will be extended for 2 months

Odessa, 21 JANUARY 2017, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — Acting Chairman of SE «USPA» Raivis Veckagans said that to audit the tender documentation and analysis of compliance of the conditions of the bidding requirements of the legislation will be extended the deadline for submission of bids for dredging works in the sea port «Yuzhny» for 2 months, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, January 21, in the press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

According to the press service, the head of ASD emphasized that all initiatives launched in the framework of cooperation of the administration of seaports of Ukraine and the business will be continued, however, tender procedures «should become a model of transparency and not corruption».

In particular, he said, to audit the tender documentation and analysis of compliance of the conditions of the bidding requirements of the legislation will extend the deadline for submission of bids for dredging works in the sea port «Yuzhny» for 2 months.

The postponement will relate to the two tenders in the seaport: «Reconstruction of marine approach channel and inland waterway approaches to deep-water berths of the sea port «Yuzhny» (project approved by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 674-R of 14 September 2016) and «Reconstruction of water approaches, shunting zones and operating areas at the berths from the perspective of the turnover of goods of the seaport «Yuzhny» («feasibility study» approved by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 657 dated September 8, 2016).

In addition, as of January 20 for consideration to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has received two complaints from companies bidders: «Jan de Nul NV» (Belgium) and «DP «van Oord Ukraine».

Previously, the port administration invited to participate in the tender purchases both foreign and Ukrainian companies dredging. All tender documents posted on the site Prozorro.

REFERENCE: The implementation of these activities and investment plans will allow the port «Yuzhny» to increase the level of competitiveness in the domestic and international markets and port services to be the most promising and the largest Black Sea harbor. In this case the port operators will be able to attract new cargo flows and to maximize the profits and taxes to the budgets of all levels.

According to preliminary estimates of USPA, as calculated maximum annual volume of bulk cargo handling at the port will be 120 million tons.
