Director General of the Miss Ukraine-South National Committee Ms Tetiana Savchenko does not exclude a possibility that the next contest Mini Miss World may be held in Ukraine, and its final stage — in Odesa.

According to Ms Tetiana Savchenko, the next contest Mini Miss World may be held in Ukraine. Mini Miss World representatives visited Odesa in order to evaluate the city as a potential venue for Mini Miss World 2012 finals.

The Czech Republic, Kazakhstan and Ukraine are competing for the right to host the contest. I hope the city government will take sufficient efforts so that, even though we lost Euro 2012, at least we can host Mini Miss World 2012”, said T. Savchenko.

She added, 21 June the city of Alushta, Crimea, under the auspices of the Mini Miss World International Programme, hosted the National Finals XIII Children's Art Contest Mini Miss Ukraine 2011 and Mini Mister Ukraine 2011.

Youngsters from Odesa, who took part in the competition, have won all the major prizes and awards: Zaretskaya Valeria won the title Mini Miss Ukraine in the younger group (5 years), Diana Orlovskaya — in the middle group (10 years), Christina Serdyukova in the older group (13 years), Anastasia Domnikova — the group of teenagers (14), the holder of the title Mini Mister Ukraine 2011 was Kirill Popov.

In addition, at the Little Miss Planet 2011contest that was taking place in Burgas, Bulgaria, from 13 to 20 June, Liubov Rybalko from Odesa won the first prize.

In August, representatives of Odesa will go to Brazil to participate in the Miss of All Nations championship.

“Our young people, by their victories at international and Ukrainian contests, contribute to the popularity of our city both in this country and abroad”, Ms Savchenko summarized.
