Chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Nikolay Serdyuk has declared that landowners of the Odessa region are compelled to sell grain for 500-550 UAH for ton

According to the governor, there is an active buying up of grain for 500-550 UAH for ton in the region, thus, the cost price of manufacture of one ton makes 700-900 UAH. But landowners are compelled to sell bread under such price as it is necessary to pay under credits and to prepare for a new sowing campaign.

N. Serdyuk has noticed that the President of Ukraine could have visited the region on August, 12th to understand this situation; however events in Georgia have made the head of the state to change plans.

«I think, nevertheless in there will be a decision of UNCS and the President the near future and the situation will normalize. The main thing for landowners is to manage to hold on till the autumn and not to sell the grain for nothing now», — the governor considers.
