The presentation of Odesa at the Hospitality Industry Forum held in Kyiv has been recognized as one of the best. The International Hospitality Industry Forum was held 21 February in Kyiv. Odesa was presented by the Head of Culture and Tourism of the Odesa City Council Tetiana Markova.

During the Forum such issues were discussed: interaction between authorities and the hotel business; examples of successful tourist attraction to the city through the creation of special events; tourist Crimea ― opportunities and potential for growth, the prospects of tourism development in Kyiv, Odesa and Lviv; opportunities for hotels in Ukraine from the Crimea to the Carpathians; new tourist tax in 2013.

The presentation of Odesa interested the international partners, and as a result, it was recognized as one of the best. In this regard, our city has been invited to participate in a similar Moscow International Forum.

“Hospitality Industry Forum aroused great interest among all international hotel chains such as Hilton, Fairmont, Radisson, Holyday Inn. The interest in Odesa is still great. On the one hand, it is important that these giants of hotel industry appear in our city. On the other, the question naturally arises: what prevents Odesa hotels to rise to the European and world standards in terms of high quality management... We have a lot to learn, to strive for, and we have something to offer. Experience of Odesa in such international forums confirms it”, Tetiana Markova noted.

In Kyiv, Odesa delegation held talks with the representatives of Hilton Hotels Corporation, represented by Director of Development in Russia, Vladimir Ilyichev on potential collaboration.
