Practical aspects of the interaction of law enforcement of Russia and Ukraine are discussing today, 24 September, in Odesa, during the joint board of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Interior of the Russian Federation.

Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Vitaliy Zakharchenko and Minister of Interior of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltchev participate in the work of the board.

During the meeting, the sides plan to discuss several issues related to the practical aspects of the interaction between law enforcement agencies of the two countries.

In particular, it will focus on development of cooperation and exchange of experience Ministries of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Russian Federation in law enforcement and public safety during mass sporting and cultural events.

Law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and Russia will exchange experience in the sphere of the protection of law and order during sports events with a significant number of viewers: Euro 2012 in Ukraine, Universiade-2013 and the preparation for the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014 in the Russian Federation.

Also it is scheduled to consider the issue of improving the interaction between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and Russia to exchange information.

In addition, it is planned to review the agenda of joint meeting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and Ukraine on 2014.
