14:12 / 10.10.2008

ODESSA, OCTOBER, 10TH, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – The first Ukrainian low-budget airline company “Wizz Air Ukraine” intends to cancel flights to Odessa from the beginning of winter season, which will be resumed again in summer 2009, IA “Context-Prichernomorie” correspondent reports.

This was reported to the agency today, on October 10th, during the press-conference in Kiev by the member of the Committee of directors “Wizz Air Ukraine” Natalya Kazmer, the words of which are cited by a number of Ukrainian mass media.

As N. Kazmer noted, during autumn-winter period “Wizz Air Ukraine” will reduce the number of flights to the south of Ukraine, which is connected with the seasonal prevalence of demand for flights to resort destinations. Thus, starting from September 15th flight frequency to Simferopol reduced till 7 flights a week, and starting from the beginning of winter season flights to Odessa will be discontinued, instead they will be resumed in summer 2009. At the same time frequency of flights to Lvov will be increased.

As IA “Context-Prichernomorie” reported before, on July 11th the low-cost airline company WizzAir launched first inner airflights throughout Ukraine – from “Borispol” to Lvov, Odessa and Simferopol, and also the flight Lvov – Simferopol. The average cost of the ticket of airline company flights is 30-50 USD, and the cheapest air ticket costs just 79 UAH taking into account all airport taxes.
