NIKOLAEV, OCTOBER, 24TH, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – The financing of the roads in those regions where “Euro-2012” won’t be held has been withdrawn almost completely.

This was reported to the agency today, on October 24th, in the press-service of the regional government administration.

In live broadcast Nikolaev governor Aleksey Garkusha noted that he considers such decision erroneous.

“Considering how much time we still have before “Euro-2012” one can only suppose that with such approach we will manage to drive on the roads of the region only by a tank or by an armored car. Nikolaev regional government administration addressed both to the budget committee of the Parliament and to the cabinet council with the request of taking into account our needs during forming the budget”, the governor said.

The chairman of the regional government administration hopes that the requests of the region will be considered, especially as not only Nikolaev region addressed with these requests, and that the corresponding funds will be assigned.
