NIKOLAEV, NOVEMBER, 24TH, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – The head of “Privatbank” branch in Nikolaev misappropriated more than 1 mln UAH, IA “Context-Prichernomorie” correspondent reports.

This was reported on the official site of the press-service of MHA of Ukraine.

The public prosecutor’s office of Nikolaev city made a complaint against the head of the branch of Nikolaev department of commercial bank “Privatbank” which is situated in Admiralskaya st. according to the materials of SSAECC of MHAD of Ukraine in Nikolaev region. The manager of the department transferred in cash money sum of more than 1 mln UAH through the system of ATM of Nikolaev by means of unauthorized access to the bank system. The money was transferred to the credit cards executed in the names of men of straw.

Now “the banker” is threatened by penalty in the form of imprisonment for the term of up to 4 years.

In all 3 thousand 669 crimes were revealed in the sphere of bank activity since the start of the year, 139 of them – in the state banks. 2 thousand 358 officials were made answerable administratively.

The sum of losses made 245.5 mln UAH by the exposed crimes.

The subdivisions of SSECC service in Donetsk, Lvov, Poltava, Nikolaev, Odessa and Kherson regions snapped into action most actively.
