ODESSA, NOVEMBER, 28TH, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – The chairman of Odessa regional government administration Nikolay Serduk stated that in spite of the world financial crisis the inmates of children’s homes and boarding schools of the region wouldn’t be left without gifts on the New Year and Christmas holidays, IA “Context-Prichernomorie” correspondent reports.

This was reported to the agency by Nikolay Skorik yesterday, on November 28th, during the work of the round table devoted to the 10th anniversary of the foundation of Administration of home policy of Odessa regional government administration on the subject: “Ways and problems of providing cooperation of authorities and social and political forces in reorientation of civil society”.

During the work of the round table the chairman of Odessa regional organization “Women of Ukraine” Ludmila Kormich noted that “children that lived in boarding schools and children’s homes needed attention of the authority and different non-government organizations especially during the hard times of the crisis. These children need us all to be not indifferent”.

In his turn N. Serduk noted: “Odessa region will fulfill the budget of 2008 and the budget of November and December as well. We will always find the means for the gifts for children”.

“I’m sure that the crisis won’t touch children”, the chairman of RGA emphasized.
