MYKOLAIV, DECEMBER, 18TH, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – summarizing lat ten months shipbuilding export is in the top-five of other export products (letting forward grain export, inorganic chemicals, mechanical equipment, seeds and fruit of oil-yielding crops) and provided 6% in its commodity composition, IA Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

State Statistic Bureau in Mykolaiv Oblast informed the agency about it today, Dec., 18th.

According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, for the period of January through October, 2008 9 shipbuilding enterprises of the Oblast exported their production to sum of $79 million, which is 15% more than for the same period of 2007. This year foreign partners purchased tankers, cargo and cargo-passenger ships, tugs and yachts, being supplied from 10 countries (mainly Norway, Germany, Spain, Romania and Estonia).

OJSC Damen Shipyards Ocean, GE Shipyard of 61 Communards, Port Service LTD, CJSC Mykolaiv Machine Building Plant, and “Jack-STD” LTD Navigation Company are the leaders of cooperation with international partners.
