ODESA, 21st, FEBRUARY, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Over 48 thousand jobs were provided in Odesa Oblast in 2008, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Yelena Kitayskaya, Head of Chief Administration of Labour and Social Policy, Odesa Oblast State Administration informed the agency about it yesterday, 20 February, during her press-conference.

According to Mrs. Kitayskaya, in 2008 48,4 thousand hobs were provided, what makes 72,8% from the predicted amount. The lowest level of employment task is in Teplodar (44,3%) and Odesa (52,4%), as well as in Ananiev (60,8%), Tarutino (60,9%) and Kominternovsky (62,3%) Raions.

Head of Administration emphasized, nominal wages size had increase tendency during 2008 and varied from 1 thousand 403 UAH to 1 thousand 982 UAH in December 2008. Average salary in 2008 made 1 thousand 633 UAH, that is 33,2% more than in 2007.

At the same time the salary size in Tarutino, Bolhrad, Izmail, Artsyz, and Belgorod-Dnestrovsky Raions remained low and ranged from 936 to 1 thousand 13 UAH.
