MYKOLAIV, MARCH, 19th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Offers on building a bridge over the Southern Buh may be included into Strategic Cooperation Programme with Japan, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press-service of Mykolaiv City Executive Committee informed the agency about it today, 19 March.

As Mayor, Volodymyr Chaika, Ukrainian delegation is to visit Japan 26 March. However there are no representatives of Mykolaiv in the list. This is because the bridge was not included into the Strategic Cooperation Programme with Japan.

According to Mayor, they are doing their best to get it included in there.

“Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko at our suggestion set a task before the Mykolaiv City Council, Mykolaiv Oblast State Administrattion, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Ministry for Finance, and the Ministry of Economics to get the materials concerning the realization of the project on building a bridge over the Southern Buh ready for the consultation in the Cabinet. Yesterday I had a talk with Minister of Transport – he has already signed the adoption. It is only the Minister for Finance who did not. If everything is coordinated with the Ministry for Finance, the offer will be included Japanese party has already sent us their offers concerning the construction”, — V. Chaika finished.
