MYKOLAIV, APRIL, 28th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – After the planned dock repairs the tug Gaidamaka owned by GE Delta-Pilot was launched again, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press-service of GE Delta-Pilot informed the agency about it today, 28 April.

The vessel also underwent annual dock certification by the Shipping Register of Ukraine.

The tug will be operating for the same purpose as before – at tugging operations on the Buh-Dnieper-Liman and Kherson Sea Canals.

The tug was rendered for repair to Mykolaiv ship repair enterprise Triton 13 January, 2009.

Since 22 April the tug has been put to exploitation and has managed to do 3 tugging operations.

INFORMATION: Gaidamaka – an ice class tug was built in 2005 in Mykolaiv. Her length is 34,2 metres, width – 12,1, draught – 4,9 metres, the capacity of the engine installation 2x1600 KW, thrust force – 60 tons. She is considered to be the most powerful tug in the region.
