ODESA, MAY, 6th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHRENOMORIE – State-owned enterprises “Black Sea Shipping Company” was added to list of companies to be sold in 2009, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

As the agency was informed at the press-service of the Cabinet, the Government adopted such a Decree 28 April, 2009.

As Context-Prichernomorie previously reported, earlier the Minister of Transport and Communications, Yosyp Vinskyi had stated Black Sea Shipping Company was supposed to be sold until the end of 2008.

INFORMATION: State-owned company “Black Sea Shipping Company” (BLASCO) owned 400 vessels during the USSR period. In 1990 most of the ships were rendered to off-shore companies or sold by auction to cover debts. At present the balance value of BLASCO’s property (54 objects) exceeds 270 million UAH.
