MYKOLAIV, JUNE, 4th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Yesterday, 3 June, 4 bottom sections of four river-sea two-hold dumb barges were laid at Wadan Yards Okean out of 16 vessels of the same type planned for Nibulon, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

According to Wadan Yards Okean Director, Nikolay Romanchuk, the first vessel is to be commissioned until 15 August this year, the second, the third and the fourth – until 31 August. He stressed the terms to be very strict as well as the quality requirements, at the same time assuring the company would do their best not let Nibulon down.

These vessels will be flying Ukrainian flag and registered in the port of Mykolaiv.

According to Leonid Kozachenko, President of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, also present at the keel-laying there has never been yet such cooperation between shipbuilders and agrarians. This is the first case in the newest history of Ukraine. This is a very good example of how we can help ourselves out of the crisis, dynamically developing.

As the agency reported before, 6 March, this year Wadan Yards Okean and OJSC Nibulon signed 16 contracts of barge building. 2 April the contracts took effect, after the proper protocol had been signed.
