MYKOLAIV, JUNE, 12th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – A seminar on Information Component of Ukraine’s NATO Integration was held in Mykolaiv in the Security Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Oblast Administration Building, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today, 12 June at the Security Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Oblast.

The event was initiated by the Security Service of Ukraine and Non-governmental Organization “Social League Ukraine-NATO”. The participants were SSU officers, Social League’s representatives, the Embassy of Slovakia in Ukraine and National Academy of Defence of Ukraine.

Sergey Dzherdzh, Chairman of Social League Ukraine-NATO during his speech pointed at the history of establishment of the NATO, at the process of its reorganization of one of the military-political unions into the leading world security organization. He stressed on the economic, military, and political advantages the NATO countries have.

Vladimir Koryak, representative of the National Academy of Defence, emphasized the NATO countries confess the principles of common ideological values, political cooperation, and military building.

The seminar provoked a lot of dispute over the problem of NATO integration, the participants had an opportunity to get familiar with books on this topic and other materials.
