MYKOLAIV, JUNE, 13th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Yesterday, 12 June, during XXIX Session Mykolaiv Oblast Council deputies expressed their protest against the seminar on NATO integration held 9 June in Mykolaiv Oblast Institute for Postgraduate Pedagogic Education, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The deputies were revolted the event was said to be held under Mykolaiv Oblast Council and Mykolaiv City Council. In fact the action was held without coordination with the city and the oblast authorities. There was an attempt not to let the deputies in.

The statement made by the Oblast Council says: “The Deputy Corp of the Oblast Council considers it illegal and intolerable to use educational establishments of Mykolaiv Oblast by the NATO supporters for the purpose pf holding propaganda measures and using them for political purposes.”

As Context-Prichernomorie reported previously, in the morning, 9 June, the Party of Regions and the Progressive Socialists picketed the seminar on the NATO integration taking place in Mykolaiv Oblast Institute for Postgraduate Pedagogic Education.
