ODESA, JUNE, 17th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Through the period of January-May, 2009, 145,6 million passengers consumed the services provided general-use transport, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today, 17 June at the Chief Administration of Statistics in Odesa Oblast.

According to the source, in January-May, 2009 145,6 million passengers consumed the services provided general-use transport, passenger traffic making 4 milliard 295 million passenger-kilometres, that is respectively by 2,5 and 5,3 percent less than last year.

In January-February, 2009 passenger fleet serviced 14 thousand 600 passengers, that is by 31,5 percent more than for the same period in 2008.

In January-February, 2009 automobile transport companies (including private entrepreneurs) delivered 88 million 700 thousand passengers that is by 0,8 percent less than last year.
