ODESA, JULY, 7th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – HPC Ukraine, affiliate of Hamburg Port Consulting will invest in the project of container terminal on the Quarantine Pier at Odesa Port, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today, 7 July at the press-service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine.

According to the press-service, after holding a contest defining the investor of the project,

HPC Ukraine, affiliate of Hamburg Port Consulting of Germany was selected.

The press-service reminded 1 June, 2009 GE Odesa Merchant Sea Port announced a contest to choose the investor of the project.

Main technical parameters of the terminal are expected to be: annual capacity 600 thousand 20-feet containers, artificial territory 19 hectares.

Approximate amount of investments will make 306,9 U.S. dollars (prices of 2007).

INFORMATION: GE “Odesa Merchant Sea Port” is situated in the south-western part of Odesa bay on artificially made territory of 109.5 hectares area. The enterprise’s facilities allow processing more than 14 million tons of dry and 24 million tons of bulk cargo annually. The vessels of the length up to 270 metres and the draught under 13 metres are operated in the port. The total length of the berthage is more than 8 kilometres.
