MYKOLAIV, JULY, 16th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Defence Attaché of India to Ukraine Captain Subramanian Nedunchezian arrived in Mykolaiv to get familiar with the shipbuilding enterprises of the city, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it at the Mass-Media Department of Mykolaiv City Council.

At present India is examining the opportunities in military-transport cooperation with Ukrainian enterprises working in the sphere of production of equipment for the navy. In June Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Ukraine H.E. Mr. Debabrata Saha during his meeting with the Premier Yulia Tymoshenko a lot of Indian vessels are equipped with turbines made in Mykolaiv. The envoy said he hoped this kind of cooperation would go on.

The Defence Attaché’s visit to Mykolaiv is the proof of cooperation intentions. Deputy Mayor of Mykolaiv Aleksander Zhenzherukha met the envoy with his wife. The other participants of the meeting were representatives of shipbuilding enterprises and city authorities.

The foreign guest had an opportunity to gat familiar with Mykolaiv shipbuilding industry. Thus, Eugeniy Borisov, Research Project Centre of Shipbuilding held a video presentation of his company, that is working on new corvette ships and customs cutters.
